San Miguel de Allende, July 1, 2025 — The Boards of Trustees of Feed the Hungry San Miguel and Feed the Hungry, A.C. are pleased to announce the unanimous appointment of María Verónica Agundis Estrada as the organization’s new Executive Director.
Verónica brings more than two decades of experience in public service, nonprofit leadership, and strategic communications. A native of San Miguel de Allende, she has held key leadership roles at the municipal, state, and federal levels, including serving as President of the Municipal DIF, Federal Deputy, and most recently, Director General of the Bicentennial Park Trust in Guanajuato. Her deep understanding of our region, combined with her expertise in public programs and community building, make her uniquely qualified to lead Feed the Hungry into its next chapter.
“Verónica stood out as a collaborative, mission-driven leader with a strong vision and heart for the work we do,” said Mike Taylor, President of the Board. “Her experience aligns with our values, and her commitment to local impact and inclusive leadership is exactly what we need.”
As Executive Director, Verónica will oversee the organization’s strategic operations, fundraising efforts, and program delivery, while continuing to strengthen partnerships with donors, volunteers, and the communities we serve.
