Nutrition Report – School Year 2022-2023

For the latest Nutrition Report, our staff nutritionists assessed students through height, weight, and body fat measurements.

Although the measured students present mostly normal nutritional states based on weight, there were evident clinical signs that indicate some degree of nutritional deficiencies, such as dehydrated hair, skin, and lips, and slightly sunken eyes. This could be associated with nutritional deficiencies such as protein, vitamin C, and vitamin A.

Overweight was evidenced by mild to moderate dental caries and slightly elevated waist and hip circumference for their age, as well as the beginnings of acanthosis nigricans, which is evidence of poor eating habits.

We will continue to encourage increased consumption of fruits, vegetables, and natural water during school hours and outside of school, and to design school lunch menus specific to their nutritional needs.
