In addition to our School Meals Program—where we serve over 5,000 nutritious lunches every school day—we continue to support families and elders in need through our extended food programs.
Thanks to your ongoing support, our Food Extension Program is now reaching even more impoverished families across San Miguel de Allende and surrounding rural communities.
Each month, we provide food packages and nutrition education to more than 123 beneficiaries, including vulnerable seniors and families facing food insecurity. With this expansion, we’ve partnered with 11 dedicated community leaders to ensure that residents in the most remote areas are not forgotten.
This special group of beneficiaries receives extra care and attention. When in-kind donations are received, we ensure they are delivered directly to those who need them most. Recently, over 150 warm blankets were distributed, thanks to the heartfelt generosity of Guadalupe Alvarez of Penzi – San Miguel de Allende Wedding Planners.
