BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY
In August of 1992, a three-year old boy entered the Emiliano Zapata kindergarten in Ejido de Tirado, a low-income community near the railroad station. Valentín Patlán was one of the 200 children who received a Feed the Hungry school meal every day during his three years of kindergarten and six years of elementary school. Read more…

Over the past three decades Feed the Hungry San Miguel de Allende, a nonprofit organization that provides breakfast to children in rural communities, has grown and evolved from one small, humble kitchen located in St. Paul’s Church to 26 kitchens scattered across San Miguel de Allende and feeds more than 4,000 school-age children. Read more…

FEED THE HUNGRY RECEIVES FEDERAL CERTIFICATION FOR PHILANTHROPY AND TRANSPARENCY
Cemefi (Centro Mexicano Para La Filantropía) recently announced the 2013 accreditations of Mexican nonprofit organizations. Certification for transparency in organized philanthropy was awarded to 86 nonprofit organizations throughout Mexico – 22 in Mexico City and 64 throughout 40 states. Read more…
