We are thrilled to welcome two new members to the Feed the Hungry Advisory Council. Their contributions will help us continue to energize our leadership with new ideas and perspectives.
Here are their stories:
Originally from Panamá, I moved to Mexico nine years ago. I am an Industrial Engineer with 15 years of experience In multinational companies in Panama and Canada in various areas, including Human Resources, Logistics, and Purchasing. Eight years ago, I founded Olio Fino S de RL de CV, dedicated to the importation, distribution, and retail sale of premium Mediterranean food products.
I discovered Feed the Hungry through social media and I was very happy to find an organization with the mission and values that I share, which inspired me to contribute as a volunteer in order to give back to my new city, San Miguel de Allende. I am also a happy mom with an amazing 7-year-old daughter.
I am a corporate legal professional with many years of business and legal experience ranging from contracts and intellectual property to company policies and risk management.
I first heard about Feed the Hungry and its mission to feed kids at schools and encourage good nutrition, when my mom (Joan Nagelkirk) became involved with the organization. During a visit to San Miguel de Allende, I volunteered at FTH every day, half time. They took me through their processes and to nearly all of the communities that they serve. I was able to see the powerful combination of dedication to purpose and love of their beneficiaries that makes FTH so special.
Now that I live in San Miguel, I look forward to contributing my expertise to this worthy NGO.
