El Programa de Alimentaci\u00f3n Ampliada tiene como objetivo erradicar la desnutrici\u00f3n en familias enteras mediante la entrega de bolsas de alimentos a los hogares que presentan casos extremos de empobrecimiento y mala salud. Este nuevo programa se lanz\u00f3 a principios de este a\u00f1o y hasta el momento se ha implementado en cuatro comunidades: Plan Ju\u00e1rez, San Jos\u00e9 De Allende, La Palmilla y Los Toriles. Con la excepci\u00f3n de Los Toriles, Feed the Hungry ten\u00eda un<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

presencia en cada comunidad con comedores establecidos para atender a los ni\u00f1os a trav\u00e9s del Programa de Alimentaci\u00f3n Escolar.<\/p>

Los Toriles est\u00e1 ubicado a 35 kil\u00f3metros del Centro Feed the Hungry y se ubica entre las tres comunidades m\u00e1s desfavorecidas del condado, seg\u00fan los registros municipales. Aunque Feed the Hungry no opera all\u00ed un comedor escolar, las condiciones presentaban un caso especial y se tom\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n de atender a esta comunidad extremadamente necesitada. <\/p>

Feed the Hungry ofrece talleres y clases de educaci\u00f3n nutricional y entrega bolsas de alimentos cada 15 d\u00edas a 35 familias en estas cuatro comunidades. Temas como El Plato de la Comida Saludable, La Jarra del Buen Beber y C\u00f3mo Preparar una Comida Saludable fueron bien recibidos por las familias del programa. <\/p>

Junto con las provisiones de alimentos y la educaci\u00f3n, cada madre e hijo son pesados y medidos una vez al mes. Estas m\u00e9tricas brindan informaci\u00f3n a los nutricionistas y chefs para permitirles realizar ajustes en los ingredientes de los alimentos y adaptar la informaci\u00f3n para los talleres.\u00a0<\/p>

Luego de que las madres de la comunidad de Los Toriles recibieron el diagn\u00f3stico de los ni\u00f1os desnutridos, las madres expresaron su preocupaci\u00f3n sobre c\u00f3mo proceder con sus h\u00e1bitos alimenticios, por lo que se introdujeron clases de alimentaci\u00f3n y cocina. Adem\u00e1s, recibimos un gran apoyo de los directores de escuelas primarias y de jard\u00edn de infantes, lo que nos permiti\u00f3 identificar a seis ni\u00f1os m\u00e1s desnutridos cuyas familias ahora se benefician del programa y reciben educaci\u00f3n nutricional, alimentaci\u00f3n y clases de cocina.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
