El Programa de Nutrici\u00f3n ahora est\u00e1 ayudando a m\u00e1s madres, ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os en comunidades rurales alrededor de San Miguel de Allende.

La expansi\u00f3n del programa comenz\u00f3 en octubre del 2021 en la comunidad de Ejido de Tirado y en febrero de este a\u00f1o, en la comunidad de Los Toriles, con familias que reciben apoyo nutricional para ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os en edad temprana (de cuatro a seis meses de edad). Otros ni\u00f1os atendidos por el programa tienen entre ocho meses y tres a\u00f1os de edad. Estos son ni\u00f1os demasiado peque\u00f1os para explicar el programa de comidas escolares.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Dos veces por semana, los chefs Paola Sanabria y Valent\u00edn Patlan y la nutricionista Liliana Granados visitan una de las comunidades rurales (en el campo) donde se re\u00fanen con las madres y los ni\u00f1os. Hasta ahora, el equipo est\u00e1 asesorando a 153 madres y 171 ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os en 10 lugares. Entregan cereales, arroz, legumbres, verduras y frutas, alimentos en los cuatro grupos alimenticios que una familia saludable y en crecimiento necesita para una dieta equilibrada.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

El equipo mide inicialmente la altura y el peso de las ni\u00f1as, ni\u00f1os y las madres para establecer una evaluaci\u00f3n de salud de referencia. Liliana y Valent\u00edn realizan talleres para madres para ense\u00f1arles buenos h\u00e1bitos nutricionales y de higiene y c\u00f3mo cocinar comidas saludables que a sus hijos les encantar\u00e1n.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Estos talleres se llevan a cabo al aire libre en los espacios p\u00fablicos de una comunidad, como en un parque o frente a una iglesia. El equipo ense\u00f1a a las mam\u00e1s c\u00f3mo planificar las comidas que usan los cuatro grupos de alimentos, los mejores momentos para alimentar a una familia, c\u00f3mo leer las etiquetas\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

nutricionales, especialmente el contenido de az\u00facar y las porciones, consejos sobre c\u00f3mo limitar los aceites, grasas, az\u00facares y sal, c\u00f3mo integrar las verduras en las comidas para hacer las atractivas para los ni\u00f1os, y la importancia de eliminar la comida chatarra.<\/p>

Les recuerdan a las mam\u00e1s que ellas tambi\u00e9n necesitan comer los alimentos correctos porque la leche materna es vital. Feed the Hungry quiere ayudar a estas madres a criar ni\u00f1os sanos y hacer que coman bien desde el nacimiento.<\/p>
