Durante m\u00e1s de 35 a\u00f1os, FTH se ha dedicado a su misi\u00f3n de alimentar a los escolares hambrientos. Hemos ampliado el n\u00famero de comunidades a las que servimos y hemos proporcionado comedores seguros e higi\u00e9nicos para los ni\u00f1os. FTH se enorgullece de la calidad y el valor nutricional de las comidas de nuestro programa de almuerzos escolares. A\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o, hemos realizado este trabajo con un presupuesto de aproximadamente US$600,000 para casi 1,000,000 de comidas servidas.<\/p>

Y ahora, las madres y sus hijos en edad preescolar tambi\u00e9n se benefician de nuestra iniciativa de Nutrici\u00f3n para la Primera Infancia. Sabemos<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

que lo que comen los beb\u00e9s y los ni\u00f1os peque\u00f1os tiene un profundo efecto en su desarrollo f\u00edsico y cognitivo. El programa proporciona alimentos saludables para ni\u00f1os destetados que a\u00fan no reciben comidas escolares.<\/p>

Nuestros nutricionistas profesionales realizan evaluaciones de salud y brindan educaci\u00f3n a los padres sobre c\u00f3mo los h\u00e1bitos alimenticios a una edad temprana pueden durar toda la vida. Incluso durante la pandemia de COVID-19, se han realizado cientos de talleres de manera segura en las comunidades.<\/p>

Para abordar los cierres de escuelas y la ruina econ\u00f3mica resultantes de la pandemia, reestructuramos totalmente nuestras operaciones para satisfacer las necesidades nutricionales no solo de nuestros ni\u00f1os beneficiarios, sino tambi\u00e9n de sus familias. Se dise\u00f1aron y entregaron paquetes de alimentos para mantener alimentadas a familias enteras durante la emergencia. Nuestra lista de beneficiarios se ampli\u00f3 cuando otras ONG se quedaron sin fondos y trabajamos juntos para ayudar a los m\u00e1s desesperados. FTH es la \u00fanica ONG en esta parte de M\u00e9xico capaz de comprar, empacar y distribuir alimentos para las 20,000 personas a las que ayudamos desde hace m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o.<\/p>

Durante los \u00faltimos 15 meses, nuestro programa Feed the Families ha proporcionado alimentos para m\u00e1s de 10,000,000 de comidas que sin duda han ayudado a salvar muchas vidas. Este programa contin\u00faa y el nuevo programa de Nutrici\u00f3n para la Primera Infancia se est\u00e1 expandiendo a m\u00e1s comunidades.<\/p>

De vuelta a la escuela<\/strong><\/p>

Adem\u00e1s de todo esto, cuando las escuelas vuelvan a abrir a finales de este a\u00f1o, \u00a1nos prepararemos para reanudar el programa de comidas escolares! Mientras eliminamos gradualmente el programa Feed the Families, tenemos la intenci\u00f3n de continuar brindando suministros de alimentos a aquellos identificados como m\u00e1s necesitados, incluidos los ancianos que no son atendidos por otras ONG.<\/p>

Para lograr todo esto, nuestras necesidades de financiamiento han aumentado a m\u00e1s de US$1,200,000 por a\u00f1o. A pesar de las contribuciones de nuestros maravillosos seguidores, a\u00fan nos queda un d\u00e9ficit operativo. FTH y nuestros muchos beneficiarios le dan la bienvenida y aprecian su continuo y generoso apoyo.<\/p>
