Feed the Hungry's kitchens

Each present a unique opportunity for new experiences.

The Chichimeca Story

In 2006 Feed the Hungry underlook to build one of their kitchens at a two-room schoolhouse in Plan Juárez, about ten kilometers from San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato.
Plan Juárez is distinct from the hundreds of other rural communities in México. Its inhabitants are Chichimeca, indigenous Mexicans whose heritage dates back to before Spanish colonialism.
The Chichimeca are inherently wary of strangers, making Feed the Hungry's mission that much more difficult.

This is the story of North American volunteers teaching English to grade school children in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
How does Feed the Hungry program helps a specific girl and over 3,000 kids
