Our Stories
Feed the Hungry's kitchens each present a unique opportunity for new experiences. Our board members and volunteers have also written a series of stories about some of the Feed the Hungry kitchens. Please feel free to explore them by clicking here.
The Chichimeca Story brings to life Misión Chichimeca, a small, closed community of Chichimeca Indians. These indigenous Mexicans are one of the most marginalized communities in the country. The Chichimeca are inherently mistrustful of outsiders in their community, but they trusted Feed the Hungry to build a kitchen adjacent to their single schoolhouse.
